Junior striker Ramiesh McKnight led Tiffin men's soccer to the 2018 Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament championship this past weekend with a goal and an assist in the two wins for the Dragons.
As the top overall seed and host of the tournament, the Dragons fell behind in the semifinal game against Lake Erie, but it was McKnight's find of Andrew Nmah in front of the goal for the equalizer that sent the game to overtime. In the championship game against perennial power Ohio Valley, McKnight's tally in the 43rd minute proved to be all the Dragons needed in a 1-0 victory to claim the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament that is set to begin this weekend.
Ramiesh is the son of Dwayne McKnight and Marie Vlade. He has three siblings and will be majoring in Sports Management.
