TIFFIN, Ohio - It was a perfect day on the mat as the Tiffin University wrestling team (2-3) beat Alma 30-12, Saturday afternoon at the Gillmor Center. Alma won two matches by forfeit.

"Everyone went out and competed today," said head coach Joey Simcoe. "We wrestled seven matches and won all seven so I'm pleased about that."

At 133-lbs, Stephen Pastor scored a takedown with less than a minute left to gut out a 9-7 win over Zack Case. It was more dramatic at 165-lbs as Luis Tonge took down Matt Tuttle as time ran out for a 16-14 win.

Tiffin is off until Sunday, Dec. 18, when they compete in the Midwest Classic Invitational. The meet is scheduled to run all day.
