TIFFIN, Ohio - Sophomore Joe Graessle had 19 points and senior Karl Finley scored 18 as the Tiffin University men's basketball team (8-11, 3-9 GLIAC) lost 79-68 to Northwood (10-6, 6-4 GLIAC), Saturday afternoon at the Gillmor Center.

Northwood came out like a house on fire, scoring the first 10 points of the game. Tiffin then caught fire with a 13-4 run. Graessle drilled an NBA three-pointer with 12:38 left to make it 14-13, Timberwolves.

It was still a four point game, 21-17 with 10:17 to go when NU made a run. Northwood outscored the Dragons 11-4 to lead 32-21 at the 5:56 mark. TU scored the last 12 points of the half with junior Isaiah Twine hitting a triple with 25 seconds left. That made it 33-32, Tiffin at the break.

The Dragons opened the second half with a trey from freshman Iman Johnson and a bucket by Finley. That made it 38-32, TU with 19 minutes to play. Northwood came back and led by 10, 62-52 at the 7:45 mark.

Johnson nailed a 3-pointer with 1:01 left to close the gap to five. The Timberwolves scored the last six points of the game to seal the win.

For Tiffin, Graessle hit three triples and senior Keenan Barlow had 12 points. Johnson scored eight points with two blocks and senior Brandon Harris came off the bench to block four shots.

For Northwood, Bobby Lewis had 26 points and 12 rebounds, Wes Wilcox had 11 points and 18 rebounds while Cameron Joyce had 13 assists.

Tiffin is back in action, Thursday, January 26, when they hit the road to play Saginaw Valley State. The game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.
