WEST LIBERTY, W.V. - Freshmen Kevin Christman went 2-0 on the day as the Tiffin University wrestling team (2-6) lost twice, Saturday afternoon at the ASRC. The Dragons lost 37-6 to #14 West Liberty (9-3) and 34-7 to #10 Mercyhurst (11-4).

Against West Liberty, the Dragons picked up two wins over ranked wrestlers in the East Region. At 174-lbs, freshman Jake Cramer scored late for a 4-2 win over #3 Matt Littleton. At 184-lbs, Christman had a dominating 9-4 win over #5 Derrick Williams.

Against Mercyhurst, Christman had another dominating performance, beating Charles Sheaffer by major decision 11-1. At 157-lbs, sophomore Trevor Nickolai beat Anthony D'Urso 7-1. Losing by a total of five points were sophomore Kyle Begg at 149-lbs, freshman Chris Baker at 165-lbs and Cramer at 165-lbs.

Tiffin is off until Sunday, February 5, when they travel to Ashland for the GLIAC Duals. The Dragons will take on #12 Ashland, #19 Findlay and Lake Erie.
