Tiffin University (21-18, 12-10 GLIAC) came back late in the game twice on the road at Lake Superior State, winning game one 4-3 and taking the nightcap 3-2.
In the opener, the Dragons trailed 3-1 entering the seventh inning but came up with three runs for the win, scoring two of them with two outs.
Abbey Cooksey got the win, improving to 13-8 with 7 innings of work and allowing 0 earned runs.
Meagan Baird swung the hot bat, collecting 3 hits with a double for 2 RBI, while
Caitlin Houk,
Payton Denman, and
Jessie Creakbaum all had 2 hits apiece.
In game two, the Dragons once again trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when TU rallied for two runs. Creakbaum came up with the clutch two-out single to drive in the game-winning run.
Baird had 2 more hits with a double while Denman also had a double.
Amber Young got the win, scattering 4 hits and allowing 0 earned runs in 7 innings.
