BAY CITY, Mich. – Senior Joe Graessle earned his seventh GLIAC Player of the Week award, announced the conference office Monday afternoon. He is the first TU athlete to earn GLIAC POW honors in four consecutive seasons.
Graessle averaged 28.3 points and 3.3 steals a game while shooting 50% from the floor. He was named the MVP of the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort Thanksgiving Tournament as the Dragons went 2-1 to win the tournament.
In a 102-92 double-overtime win over #18 Fort Lewis, Graessle had 35 points with six rebounds and three steals. He had a triple with 22 seconds left to send the game into overtime and hit a jumper with 18 seconds left to send it into another OT. Graessle has scored at least 20 points in his last 18 games and has at least two steals in his last 13 games.
