The Tiffin University men's basketball team fell to the Hillsdale College Chargers on Saturday afternoon, 85-70.

The Chargers were on from the opening tip, bolting ahead 20-6 at the midway point of the 1st half. Tiffin responded with a 6-0 run to cut their deficit to 20-12, but Hillsdale finished the half on a 29-11 run to hold a 49-23 lead at the half.

Hillsdale held a lead in every major statistical category, and showed their depth with a 26-5 lead in bench points. Tiffin's defense put pressure on Hillsdale, trying to force turnovers with a full court trap, but the Chargers were flawless in the half, committing zero turnovers.

Tiffin opened the 2nd half with a 9-0 run to make it a 49-32 game with 17:56 remaining. After a Hillsdale timeout, the Chargers regrouped and pushed their lead back to 22 points with a pair of triples. Tiffin could never get any closer than 15 points, never fully recovering from their stagnant 1st half. Tiffin did outscore the Chargers 47-36 in the 2nd half, led by Khaleal McCormick's 19 2nd half points.

At the final buzzer, Hillsdale defeated Tiffin 85-70, holding the Dragons nine rebounds short of their season average. On the offensive glass, Tiffin could only secure seven boards, half of what they average.

McCormick led Tiffin with 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the field. Austin Adams logged another double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Alex Brown added 12 points, and Juwan Johnson scored 11 points.

The Dragons fall to 11-14 overall and 6-11 in GLIAC play.
