Tiffin University's women's golf team had a strong second day, chopping 29 strokes off their first day total in finishing 8th of 19 teams at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational played at Kearney Hill Links in Lexington, Kentucky.
After opening with 352 on day one, the Dragons came roaring back on day two with a 323 to finish with 675.
Grand Valley State won the event with a 630, followed by Ashland with 638 and Northwood with 641.
Staci Ludwig was 7th overall, improving from 82 on day one to 76 on day two to finish with 158. Three other Dragons had dramatic improvements in round two to boost Tiffin's score. Sarah Herb cut off 8 strokes (89-81-170), Alice Putoud made up 9 strokes (91-82-173), and Melissa Gabriele chopped off 6 strokes (90-84-174).
Sophie Baun rounded out the field for TU, shooting rounds of 93 and 92 for 185.
