Tiffin University's women's soccer team posted a solid 3-0 win over Bellarmine to open their 2010 season.

TU opened the scoring in the 24th minute when Lauren Bowyer scored off a pass from Hannah Stevens. The goal was the only score of the first half, as TU held a 1-0 halftime edge.

Stevens kept up the good work in the second half, scoring another goal in the 67th minute off a pass from Shelly Rogers. TU put the game away in the 79th minute when Jenna Hornyak drilled home a 35 yard shot off a rebound for the final score of 3-0.

Denise Resende and Lindsey Gallagher combined in goal for the shutout, with Resende playing 83 minutes and making the lone save of the day for TU. The Dragons defense played tight, allowing only one shot on goal the entire day. TU picked up the win despite being outshot 8-5 on the day.
