In order to become a member of the Cheerleading Team at TU, all returning and new members must attend tryouts each April. Specific details regarding tryout date, time, and location should be posted on the website by mid-February under “Tryout Information.” The Instructional Clinic and Tryout are open to all prospective freshmen, transfer, and current students interested in cheerleading at Tiffin University. All material used for tryouts will be learned the weekend of tryouts, so no original material is required. All prospective cheerleaders will perform the same chant, cheer, fight song, and jumps. Any tumbling (standing or running) is optional, but strongly encouraged. All stunting and mounting is learned after earning a place on the team and is not required in order to tryout.
In order to receive more in depth information about Tiffin University and the Cheerleading program including tryout dates, you must fill out the online application for admission (if you are not already a current Tiffin student). The application does not cost anything and will not obligate you to Tiffin University, but will provide you with additional information regarding the cheerleading program. Please be sure to indicate on your application that you are interested in Tiffin University cheerleading when you apply.
