PUEBLO, Colo. – Macklin Tudor earned the highest finish ever for the Tiffin University men's and women's track and field team at the NCAA Division II National Championships. The top eight in each event earn All-America honors.

[Women's Basketball] Nauman joins women's basketball program

North Union High School's Bre Nauman has chosen Tiffin University to further her athletic and academic career.

Nauman, a 6-0 center from Richmond, Ohio, averaged 17.3 points per game along with 12.6 rebounds per game last season while earning First Team All-MOAC honors. She was named Girl's Basketball Athlete of the Year in the MOAC and also was named Second Team All-Ohio and First Team Central District Division III.

Nauman also averaged 2.2 blocked shots per game, 1.7 assists per game, and 2 steals per game while hitting 77.4 percent from the line and 58.3 percent from the field. She totaled 1,097 points in her career while also setting the school's single game record with 39 points.

Bre, the daughter of Brian and Belinda Nauman, is majoring in Education - Middle School Science.

[Women's Lacrosse] Quast Earns Academic All-District Honors

TIFFIN, Ohio – Alexandria Quast of the Tiffin University women's lacrosse team is not quite done adding to her trophy case. She was named to the Capital One Academic All-District first team for the second straight time. Quast, who has a 3.97 G.P.A. in Sports and Recreation Management, is now on the ballot for the Academic All-American team.

[Women's Golf] Landis named All-Conference

Senior Deborah Landis was named Honorable Mention All-Conference at the completion of the GLIAC Women's Golf Championships.

Landis, the Dragons leading shooter over the last four years, led the team in average once again in 2012-13. The all-conference selection was the first of her career.

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Tiffin University men's and women's track and field team will be well represented at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 23-25 in Pueblo, Colo.

[Baseball] Unsigned Senior Showcase Camp approaches

Tiffin University's baseball program will be running its annual Unsigned Senior Showcase camp on June 2. It is open to high school seniors only and costs $30.

The camp, which will be run at Heminger Field, will run from 10 am to 3 pm. From 10-10:30 am the 60 yard dash will be timed. Defensive evaluation will take place from 10:30-11:30 am, while hitters will be evaluated from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Pitcher evaluations will run concurrent with position players lunch from 12:30-1:30 pm and will be followed by a simulated game from 1:30-2:45 pm. Academic information will be discussed from 2:40-3:00 pm.

[Softball] Brown named Second Team All Region

Tiffin University's Cassandra Brown was named Second Team All-Midwest Region by the NFCA, as the national softball coaches selected the top players in the region.

Brown, a freshman second baseman, was also a Second Team All-GLIAC pick after leading the team with a .404 average, good for 5th in the conference overall. She had 55 hits with 14 doubles and 26 runs scored. She was 6th in the conference in doubles, 7th in hits, and 12th in on-base percentage.

[Baseball] Baseball Kids Camp June 3-5

Tiffin University's baseball program will be running its annual summer kids camp on June 3-5. It will be held at Tiffin University, the Paradiso Athletic Complex, and Heminger Field for children ages K-8.

Cost is $75 for 3 days, $60 for 2 days, or $40 for 1 day. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt and personalized locker during camp. Daily routine will include skill instruction from 9 am to 12 pm followed by luch from 12 -1 pm. Games will be played from 1-3 pm.

[Women's Lacrosse] Quast named Synapse Sports All-American

Alexandria Quast was named Second Team All-American by Synapse Sports and womenslacrosse.com, as their annual Division II and III teams were released Thursday.

Quast enjoyed a tremendous senior season. She finished with an NCAA record 105 goals on the season and 176 points, the second highest single season total in NCAA history. Quast also finished with an NCAA Division II record 412 career points along with 288 career goals, second in NCAA history. She completes her career holding single game records with 13 assists and 20 points, the single season goal record (105), and the career points record (412).

Freshmen Katelyn Hill and Emily Roussel also earned honors as they were selected to the All-Rookie Team. Hill had 40 goals and 13 assists for 53 points and was first in the nation in draw controls with 7.47 per game (142 total). Roussel was second on the team with 63 goals along with 14 assists for 77 points, good for 23rd in the nation in scoring and 11th in overall goals.

[Men's Golf] Klein, Maranville named All-GLIAC

Jon Klein and Tyler Maranville were named Second Team All-GLIAC, as the all conference teams were announced Thursday.

Klein, a senior from Lake Bluff, Illinois, and Maranville, a sophomore from Hartville, Ohio, each had a 74.10 shot average. All conference selections are made based on a player's stroke average in his 10 best rounds in conference play, including the three rounds of the GLIAC Tournament. For Maranville, it is second all-conference honor as he earned Honorable Mention honors last year as a freshman.

[Men's Golf] Dragons finish 15th at Regional

Tiffin Universitiy's men's golf team saw their season come to a close, as they finished 15th of 20 teams at the Midwest/Central Regional played at Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The Dragons fell off in the third round, shooting 307. The team opened with 292, then fired 301 in round two. TU tied with Wisconsin-Parkside with a three-round total of 900. Central Missouri won the Regional with a score of 859, beating Central Oklahoma by five strokes.

John Tidenberg led the Dragons, shooting three consistent rounds of 76, 73 and 74 for 223. Tyler Maranville also stayed within three strokes on all three days, shooting 74, 73 and 77 for 224. Jon Klein opened strong with a 71 but fell off to 77 and 81 for 229. Corey Martinez and Luke Schlicher tied with scores of 232.

[Men's Golf] Dragons fall to 10th after round two

Tiffin University started Day Two of the Division II Super Regional in seventh, but slipped into a tie for 10th after shooting 301, nine strokes worse than Monday.

All five of the Dragons' golfers are separated by nine strokes. Tyler Maranville and John Tidenberg each shot a 73 Tuesday, and Maranville goes into today's play as the Dragons' top overall scorer at 147. He's tied for 24th, a stroke ahead of teammate Jon Klein, who is tied for 31st.

Klein shot a 71 on Monday, tying him for 15th, but a 77 Tuesday dropped him in the standings.

The Dragons stand at 593 overall. At present, they are 11 strokes off the fifth-place team, Southwestern Oklahoma St. (582).

The top five teams advance to the finals in two weeks.

"I know we have it in us to make a run," said TU coach Darby Roggow. "We just have to believe in our talent and let a great round happen."

Missouri-St. Louis is leading the team standings with 573. Central Missouri's Robby Hughey leads all individuals at a 10-under 134.

[Men's Golf] Dragons in 7th after Day One

Tiffin University had a close score amongst their five golfers on day one of the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional played at The Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Dragons were tied with Grand Valley State for 7th place with a total of 292. Just nine strokes separated the Dragons from the leader Missouri St. Louis, who had 283.

TU's five golfers were separated by just five strokes. Jon Klein led the way with 71, while Luke Schlicher had 73 and Tyler Maranville had 74. Corey Martinez fired 74 as well, while John Tidenberg brought up the rear with 76.

[Baseball] Tiffin Closes Season With Long Thriller

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Senior Darrell Wynkoop had two hits and scored twice as the Tiffin University baseball team (20-29, 14-19 GLIAC) edged Saginaw Valley State (16-22, 14-14 GLIAC) 6-5 in 12 innings, Sunday afternoon at the SVSU Sports Complex. Tiffin has concluded the 2013 season.
