Saturday, November 4th, the Tiffin University Equestrian Team competed in morning and afternoon meets at the University of Findlay western horse show. With many great rides, the team finished reserve high point team in the morning show and tied three-ways for third place in the afternoon show.
In the morning show, Open rider Ashley Koszalka placed 4th in her reining class and 4th in horsemanship. In the Advanced division, Rachael Dowczek walked away with a blue ribbon. Novice riders Lindsay Weiser and Miranda Bosler finished third and fourth in their class and Karalyn Suter had a phenomenal ride. Representing the Intermediate II division, Emily Boerson had an impressive ride and Madeline Powers finished 5th. Mikayla Reincke and Kaitlyn Borer took fifth and sixth place and Calysta Herniter had a beautiful ride. Morgan Hixenbaugh walked away with a fifth place while Madyson Palmer placed fourth in her class. Dylan Saunders won his class and pointed-up from Intermediate I to Intermediate II. In the Beginner division, Samantha Dalton rode her way to a second place ribbon and Alexis Reisner earned fifth place. Jordan Sauer finished 4th in her class and pointed-up into the Intermediate I division. Overall the team earned Reserve High Point team for the morning.
In the afternoon show, Beginner rider Alexis Reisner had a great ride and landed a sixth place and Alexis Williams had an impressive ride. Destiny Maruna placed second in her class. In the Intermediate I division, Dylan Saunders finished first in his class and Jordan Sauer rode very well. Representing the Intermediate II division, Mikayla Reincke had a wonderful ride and Madeline Powers walked away with a fifth place. Calysta Herniter earned a sixth place with her ride while Kaitlyn Boerer and Madyson Palmer had exquisite rides in their class. The Novice riders Miranda Bosler, Karalyn Suter, and Lindsay Weiser all had fantastic rides through their classes. Rachael Dowczek, Advanced rider, placed sixth in her class while Ashley Koszalka, Open rider, finished fifth in her horsemanship class and fourth in her reining class.
Overall the Tiffin University Equestrian Team western riders had a very successful day at the University of Findlay and look forward to competing again on December 2nd at Oberlin College.
