For the first time since 2019-20, Tiffin's men's track & field has claimed the Great Midwest Indoor Track & Field Championship with 147 total points, 12 points ahead of second-place Findlay.
The Dragons picked up a total of three event victories on Saturday as well as nine total podium placers.
Tiffin tallied the most points (22) in the 60-meter dash where it had four of the eight finalists.
Malachi Adams took first place in 6.68 seconds followed by Dante Sol (6.75) in third,
Dylan Randall (6.81) in fourth, and
Kyron Rogers (6.99) in eighth.
Joshua Page took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46.43 seconds and was also part of the 4x400m relay team that finished first, alongside
Michael McNeil,
Lewis Cotterill, and Adams. The group posted a time of 3:12.56.
In the 200-meter dash, Sol placed second in 21.24s and was followed closely by Adams (21.40) in fourth and Randall (21.52) in sixth. The trio combined to collect 16 points for the Dragons in the event.
Talel Khalfi had a strong showing as well, placing second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:20.23 and third in the mile in 4:07.95. Cotterill earned a podium spot in the 800-meter, placing third in 1:50.15.
In the remaining field events,
Sheldon McNicholas earned second place in the triple jump with a mark of 14.81m followed by Masakal Amuri in fifth with 13.76m.
Kevin Hornbeak just missed out on a podium spot, placing fourth in the shot put with a toss of 16.37m.
Jake Price was also named the Elite 26 Award winner for men's indoor track & field.
Tiffin's national qualifiers will now prepare for the NCAA Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas on March 8-9.
