Tiffin University had standout performances at both the Auburn War Eagle Invitational, the Beach Invitational in Long Beach, California, and the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.
Leading the way was Eric Jackson, who nailed an NCAA Automatic qualifying mark in the shot put with a toss of 18.38 meters, good for 5th place. He was joined by Nikolas Curtiss, who took 6th place with a provisional mark of 18.22.
Also hitting provisional marks was Davis Bowers in the pole vault (4th with 4.87 meters), while Cameron Burrows took fifth with a provo mark of 2.08 in the high jump. Toryko Grace was also a provisional qualifier in the hammer throw with 54.80 (6th place). Curtiss also placed 11th in the discus with 45.77.
In California, Jalon Monigan also hit an automatic qualifying mark in the triple jump, taking 2nd with a big leap of 15.98.
The 4x100 relay team also took 2nd with a provisional time of 40.55, while Mackenzi Rickman hit another provo mark in the 110 hurdles with a 5th place mark of 14.28.
At Long Beach, three more provisional marks were hit, as Reginald Thomas ran a blistering 10.44 in the 100 to finish 2nd. Jalon Monigan was 2nd in the triple jump, hitting a automatic qualifier mark of 15.98, and Mackenzi Rickman was 5th in 14.16 in the 110 hurdles for another provo mark. Michael King also ran well, taking 6th in the 200 in 21.69. At the Mt. Sac relays, James Ngandu hit an automatic qualifying time of 13:47.92 in the 5000, the second best time in the NCAA this year.
