GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Anais Geslin had another great day at ITA Regionals on Saturday, winning both of her singles matches to advance to the B singles semifinal on Sunday.
In the round of 16, Geslin defeated Malone 7-6 (2), 6-1 and followed that up with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Drury in the quarterfinals. Her run would end there, however, as she fell to 2-seed and eventual B singles champion Anna Valiaeva of Indianapolis in Sunday's semifinal.
Abbie-Jade Riley also entered Saturday alive in the main draw of the A singles bracket, but fell in the round of 16 to 6-seed Anna Novikova in a tight 6-3, 4-6, 6-10 affair.
In the consolation draw of A singles, Emily Sim was defeated 6-3, 6-4 by Wayne State.
Both Dragons doubles pairings fell on Day Two, as Sim/Riley were defeated in the round of 16 by the top seed from UIndy and Geslin/Lauren Prince dropped their consolation draw match to Bellarmine.
Tiffin's next competition will be at the UNOH Fall Invite from Sept. 28-29.
