Strong showings in the shot put and discus late in the day led Tiffin University to a come from behind win, as the Dragons caught Northern Michigan to win the Tiffelberg Open.
The Dragons won with 191 points, outpacing 10 other teams. Northern Michigan, which led most of the day, was second with 162 while Cedarville was next with 98.5.
Tiffin's other provo mark came in the high jump, where Marisa Gwinner won with a clearance of 1.72 meters.
Tiffin had a total of 8 championship performances. Rajiah Andrews won the 100 hurdles in 14.49, while Tatiyana Cooper-Laylor also won the 100 meters in 12.40. Alexya Peoples also won the 200 meters in 25.48. The 4x100 relay team of Cooper-Laylor, Brittany Holbrook, Andrews, and Peoples also won in 47.78.
Winning marks in the field events included Rylee Wright in the javelin with 25.96 meters and Berry in the discus with 41.47 meters.
Other top marks came from Dalaney Rogala (3rd in pole vault, 4th in high jump), Hope Watson-Davis (3rd in javelin, 5th in 400 hurdles), Briana Streib (3rd in discus), Jazilee Williams (4th in 100 hurdles), Destiny Sandlin (4th in 400 hurdles), Shadayiah Nelson (4th in triple jump), Madison Siebenaler (4th in discus), Tierra Cotten (5th in 800 meters), Mercedeez Francis (5th in high jump), and Shalbe Evans (5th in long jump).
